Liam grew up in Johannesburg and showed a strong ability with art and to draw from a very young age. His primary activities through school almost exclusively included art and later music. He is proud to have been part of the very reputable art department of King Edward Vii School.

After school, he pursued a successful career in music with art taking a slight back seat but always present in his life. After several musical accomplishments and an established career in music, Liam found time to revisit his passion for visual art. He initially did so by studying landscape design and briefly working in that industry. The design business did not satisfy his creativity enough, so he quickly shifted his attention to fine art. His activity in fine art, at this stage, saw him produce many drawings and paintings. His works of art were often on a very large scale and some of which were exhibited in galleries mainly in the Gauteng area. It was at this stage of his life, in 2011, that he would meet his tattoo teacher Dayv.

Dayv, in 2011, became the tattoo sponsor for the instrumental folk metal band that Liam plays for called Haggis and Bong. Liam and Dayv became immediate friends and with Liam showing a passion for art and tattoos it was inevitable that he would be generously shown the ways of tattooing by Dayv.

Liam is now an established tattoo artist working from his own studio, Living Gallery Skin Art and Modification, in Centurion, Gauteng. His tattoos show an ability to execute an exciting use of bright colour and a full spectrum of black and grey in shaded work. Liam exclusively uses coil machines and most of his custom designs are done by hand.
